The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Business (CAFRE) is the only college on the island of Ireland to offer courses ranging from certificates to specialist diplomas in equine management. Classes are held on the Enniskillen campus and attract students from across Ireland, the UK and beyond.

All classes are available full time as well as level 2 learning. CAFRE students fully embrace CAFRE’s ethic of ‘learning by doing’ and putting into practice what is taught to them in the classroom in the superb, hands-on facilities from Enniskillen.

There are three equine units on campus – the racing, breeding and riding units which are invaluable for student learning. Each of them demonstrates the latest scientific, technological, innovation and business management techniques necessary for a successful career in the equine industry.

Students have the security of knowing that industry connections are made from day one of a student’s journey at CAFRE and that there are over £ 24,000 in scholarships that freshmen can apply for.

Industry tours and internships are an integral part of programs which may take place in Ireland or the UK or as far away as Australia or the US.

Most CAFRE graduates move on to successful and rewarding careers in the equine industry. The results speak for themselves: more than 95% of graduates find a job or go on to higher education within six months of completing their course and 91% would recommend their course to others.

So, if you have a passion for horses, why not join in to hear the staff talk about the courses offered, current student and graduate experiences, and see world-class facilities.

Information on all courses is available on the website www.cafre.ac.uk or you can call the toll free number: 0800 028 4291 or send an email: [email protected] Don’t forget to follow DiscoverCafre on Facebook to receive notifications.
